I really liked the concept— black female characters , vampires, and all the dark, atmospheric vibes were totally up my alley. But the writing just didn’t hold up. It felt like it was trying to do too much without really pulling me in, and I found myself losing interest fast. Ended up DNF-ing it. Cool ideas, but the execution just wasn’t there for me.
