Every Dead Thing by John Connolly

2.0

Every Dead Thing is really two novels stuck together by the mere fact that the lead character, Charlie Parker (former cop, now private investigator) is heavily involved in both plots. While Charlie Parker’s back story (one of immense and tragic personal loss) drives him, the gruesome descriptions of murder, torture and death were too much for me. That along with almost incessant shoot outs leading to an unbelievable body count left me wishing I hadn’t started reading the book in the first place.
