Nathalie, Mats’ childhood sweetheart, hides with her son on the eerie Gråskär island. Flashbacks to the 1870s tie past tragedies to the present. Patrik and his wife, Erica, uncover secrets involving drugs and abuse, leading to a dramatic resolution. The story blends crime and supernatural elements but can feel cluttered with subplots.
