Murder on Lake Garda by Tom Hindle
2.25

Mixed feelings on this one. For context, I loved A Fatal Crossing, and enjoyed his second book but guessed the killer the minute they were introduced so it wasn't as good a read for me. I waited for this one in paperback because I was unsure.
It was OK - I enjoyed the setting and the plot was fine, although I did again guess the killer (thankfully not as early as last time). But most of the characters were awful - and unlikeable is fine as long as they're interesting, but they weren't really, apart from the main character Robyn who was OK. Everyone else was irritating and 2D, and
near the end when someone almost gets killed I really wanted them to be killed, because they had no redeeming features and I just didn't care.

It was a really quick read but not amazing, and probably too similar to The Guest List by Lucy Foley. I'm unsure whether I'd pick up his next book as they seem to be getting worse as they go on.
