Nightwing #1 by Tim Seeley

3.0

Tim Seeley's approach to Nightwing were revealed during the Rebirth One shot and it was clear he was going to make Nightwing a mix of Super Spy meets vigilante - aka James bond meets batman but this was the first actual portrayal of such idea . The mere Title of the book creates a huge deal of anticipation , calling the book and the Titular hero "Better Than Batman" makes for a huge deal of work to be done by the author and somehow nothing relevant comes out in this book to prove the validity of the statement . Sure all the usual charms of Nightwing were present here but that's all you get Charms and nothing else . And Certainly the Challenge thrown the previous Nightwing writer Tom King, who incidentally is the new Batman author about Nightwing story being "Better than Batman" sure looks like a falsified claim at the moment with Seeley looking to borrow both "court of owls" storyline from scott snyder and the "grayson" storyline from Tom King

The Art was also not good for this one . The sketches , the colouring all looked a bit weird and i don't know but feels like when you compare all the issues in the rebirth saga this might well be the worst art out there
