This book was a beautifully written ode to death and mothers, specifically the death of the author’s mother. It was a practice of poetry and memoir that explored the relationship between the author and her sexuality and her mother and her mother’s death. Although the writing became slow and somewhat dense at times, it was thoughtful and engaging at all times.
