Love Redesigned by Lauren Asher

4.0

I AM IN LOVE.

— “When did we go from wanting to murder each other to wanting to murder for one another?”

So many things to admire about this book, truly. The cover, the playlists, the storyline, the emotional depth, the soulmatism, and the cute little map that has a whole of my heart. One thing about Lauren Asher is that her books are never 'just romance'.

- childhood rivals to lovers
- small town romance
- second chance romance
- representation of infertile women
- he fell first
- banter
- SLOW BURN
- mentions of battle with depression

— “Experiencing Julian’s love for a moment is far better than me spending a lifetime without it, wondering what might have happened had I given him a chance.”

I could go on and on about how remarkable and awe-inspiring this book is. The slow burn was immaculate, and I am here for it.

There are so many things to say, but first and foremost, I love how Lauren Asher shed some light on society's hostility towards infertile women. It's an issue that needs to be talked about more. I love how the author always addresses issues like these in her books. It means so much to us readers!

— “I’m falling in love with you, Dahlia. I don’t expect you to say it back after everything you’ve been through this year, but I didn’t want to go another night without you knowing how I feel. Just like I can’t go another day with you thinking I’m okay with us keeping things casual.”

Talking about Julian and Dahlia, I could go on and on forever. From their banter to their love confessions, from them challenging each other to them fighting for each other, from them pranking each other to them pranking other people together. I LOVE THEM SO MUCH.

Julian and Dahlia were truly made for each other. They bring out the best in each other, accept and love each other at their worst and best. I think everybody should read this book! Especially if you love slow burn romance.
