A Morbid Taste for Bones by Ellis Peters
4.0

This was a really interesting book. I love mysteries, but reading one set in medieval times was new for me. I found the characters engaging, the plot steady, and the mystery quite confounding. There was also a delightful twist at the end. I am looking forward to getting the next book in the series from the library. There were only two (slightly) negative things that are worth mentioning. First, there were sections where the story lagged a bit. Second, some of the names were unfamiliar and difficult to pronounce. This might not bother some people, but I found it just a tad distracting. Overall, a really fun read, and pretty family friendly for a murder mystery.

Rating: PG for mild descriptions of violence and some thematic spiritual elements
