ayaesther 's review for:
The Governess of Penwythe Hall
by Sarah E. Ladd
Grabbed it randomly off the library shelf because a Regency romance could fill the gap while I waited for other books to arrive. Didn’t realize it was a Christian romance till reading other GR reviews later. Perfectly silly (but Christian clean) romance. Very little character development and low stakes that didn’t quite warrant the highly dramatic language. Both Delia and Jac were thin characters that were so beautiful and virtuous, they had no place to go other than to be victims of plot devices. And for a Christian romance, there seemed to be little faith expressed...more Christian platitudes than anything else.
