Colonialism: A Theoretical Overview by Jürgen Osterhammel

2.5

Good introduction on the topics, but with some caveats. The text does not look much beyond the 1960s, and even the examples it provides are not historically accurate, or do not take into account the agency of the natives much at all (plenty of examples of native populations "choosing" to do this or that). Would recommend something earlier and/or from an actual leftist writer, like How The West Came to Be.
