Redeeming 6 by Chloe Walsh
5.0

This was the fourth book I have read by Chloe Walsh, and i am now working my way through them all.

To be honest, this book terrified me for the longest time. after reading and rereading binding and keeping 13 many times over the years, I have always been too scared to read joey and aoifes story. the idea of reading some of the scenes from binding and keeping 13 in joeys point of view scared me off it for the longest time until recently I decided to take the plunge, and I'm so glad I did.

Saving and Redeeming 6 are so much more than just the tropes within the book. Yes, it's a romance story, with sports elements, but its so much more. The boys of tommen series are interwoven with trauma, pain and hurt in a way that makes you feel it with and for the characters.

Aoife Molloy is everything to Joey. From the day they meet he has always been drawn to her, but with complications arising due to her dad being joeys boss, their friendship becomes his lifeline.

Joey is stuck. He wants nothing more then to escape the life he has been given, and does so with the help of substance abuse.

Redeeming 6, and the boys of tommen series as a whole destroy you, break your heart and then put it back together in a way that makes you unable to ever forget about the characters or their story.

Personally, not a day goes by where I don't have this series on my mind. whether it be small things like music or names, I am reminded every single day of the heartbreaking story that these books tell, but also of the strength and resilience of the characters within it. This series is everything, and yes, the size of the books can be intimidating to some, but when you finish, you will be left wanting more.

I recommend this series to anyone looking for a book you will never forget and characters you will forever be invested in.
