As much as I love Elon Hilderbrand’s books, I don’t like her early books as much as I like her more recent ones. I knew that going into this one which is why it’s weird that I’m disappointed I didn’t like this one more.
I really can’t say I liked anything about this except that it takes place on Nantucket. I didn’t like any of the characters and I really didn’t like the major plot. I was also very disappointed that the chief of police that I’ve come to love in her other books didn’t make an appearance, even just in name only. Even if this wasn’t a book featuring him with all of the places on the island being the same it felt weird that he wasn’t part of it.
