It is nice to be able to read another story from this universe, and even get more information from drafts and alternative texts, plus additional information gathered from letters and conversations throughout the years. This book allows us to have a better understanding of the events and history of Middle Earth, and adds a few more pieces to this huge puzzle that it is the Tolkien universe.
Of course, we cannot expect a big story here, but still an epic one and lots of information and explanations. It is worth it just for these alone.
A bit sad we don't get to see much about female characters.
The illustrations are, of course, another big plus of this book.
Not suitable for all readers, but great for those that wish to grow their understanding of this universe.
