At first, I found this book to be a little exploitative and almost felt it was inappropriate in places with exclamation points gleefully highlighting some really shocking incidents. Actually, I wonder if this is more of a translation issue. As I persevered with the book, I grew to really enjoy it and sensed that the editor felt a strong moral imperative to challenge injustice. I enjoyed the plurality of voices in the text but probably did enjoy Adrian Langensheid's sections the most.
I had never heard of some of the most fascinating cases and cannot what to research them further. This made the reading experience worth it.
