The Iron Raven
by Julie Kagawa
“I always make a great first impression, Stacilla. Not always a good one, but it’s definitely memorable.”

The Iron Raven is the first book in the Iron Fey spin off series, Evenfall. This story follows Puck as he joins new friends and old to battle a new threat facing the Nevernever.

I love Puck and enjoyed getting the chance to learn more about him and his time as Robin Goodfellow. It was entertaining to learn about some of his vast history. I also really enjoy Kagawa’s overall writing style. I don’t think I’ve read a book by Kagawa that I didn’t enjoy. Nyx was an interesting add to the character mix and seemed to be a great balance to Puck. I’m so glad Grimalkin made a reappearance — he is by far my favorite character from the Iron Fey series. He always has the best commentary.
✨
✨
My disappointment with this novel was that I wanted more out of Robin Goodfellow. He was touted as a big villain, so I was expecting more from him.
