A Man Called Ove
by Fredrik Backman
I’ve been resisting Ove for years. Everyone loved it but could it really be that great? IT CAN! To know Ove is to love him. Whether in Ove or the Beartown books, Backman’s words never fail to amaze me with their spot on wit and beauty. No character is left flat. No emotion is left untouched. And kudos to translator Henning Koch for retaining the integrity and beauty of the original Swedish. I have definitely found a new addition to my favorite books list!
