Miranda in Milan by Katharine Duckett
4.0

3.5 stars and rounding up. This was a fun, zippy read that nearly made me want to revisit the Tempest, one of my least favorite Shakespeare plays, so that's saying something for me! The mystery has some enjoyable gothic tinges to it, and it was an effective "sequel" to the play. I'm docking some stars in my review because the characters didn't feel super fleshed-ouf, and so was the romance – we didn't really get to understand why they were drawn to each other or how they fell for one another, so when they get their happy ending it feels a little rushed and sudden. Considering how short this book is, though, perhaps it couldn't be helped. I still enjoyed it and read it in a day, though!
