The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown
3.0
It was not as good as Angels and Demons, but it was better than Da Vinci Code. I really liked the research Katherine Solomon did about Noetics, it is fascinating and thought-provoking. I also liked the discussion about how we are gods, because I have always believed that with my religion that we each have the potential to become gods.
What I don't like about Dan Brown is that he tries so hard to keep you hanging and interested that he ends chapters and sections with so many "cliff-hangers" that it disrupts the flow of the book occasionally. Would it be so harmful to just TELL us what that person saw, or WHAT Robert Langdon SUDDENLY figured out? A few cliffhangers are okay, but every single new development in the story left me confused and wondering until I could find out what it really was 50 pages later. And most of the time it was anti-climactic.
