this book was enjoyable, but i wished there was more emphasis on the romance aspect of it. i liked seeing and reading about Vietnam and the culture and the suffering, but it ended up feeling less like romcom and more like a historical one of sorts. the book was very character driven and i liked seeing how they each dealt with their own issues. 

overall would just like a bit more romance, that’s all.
