The Enemy by Charlie Higson

5.0

I LOVED this book. It was a far reach for me, from my usual genre of realistic fiction. But it was a very good pick for me. The plot wasn't predictable, for I hardly expected Arran to die so early on. I loved the story, and the gruesome description of the adults- and especially Nick and Rachel were an interesting addition. The point of views were changed often, but I found that easy to compute. Maxie was a nice girl, rather relatable for me. She would probably be my favorite character. It would be awful to experience it, but I sure enjoyed this book!
