Morning Star

It was a pretty good end to the trilogy that suffered from some of the same issues I had with the previous books - characterisation is generally a bit flat if you look across the entire cast. The plot is straight as an arrow with little nuance or subtlety, and character decisions are made off screen as a cliffhanger. This kind of works but it gives it a television vibe - more openness between the characters would let them shine a lot more. This is an effective choice for the final plot point towards the end, but it is how it is done throughout the trilogy and it would be more effective if used sparingly.
