Eleven Eleven by Micalea Smeltzer

I was instantly intrigued by the premise of this book, but after reading it,I feel misled in some ways.
This story is the white bread of ex-bf’s dad books.
I was expecting more conflict, angst, possessiveness, jealousy, flirtation….basically more depth and emotion from the main characters.
The “dating his dad” scenario was a complete farce, it never materialized, and I found it very difficult to believe that in such a small town, the MC’s dating lives wouldn’t have made the gossip rounds and church prayer list.
Furthermore, the only thing these two really had in common, was the ability to draw/sketch. The relationship between a newly turned 21 m/32f wasn’t believable.
Overall, it was an ok romance, but more wholesome than taboo/forbidden/Sexy. I needed Stella to get her groove back, but struggled to finish the last 100 pages.
Reid’s dad was the most interesting character in the book, but received the least amount of attention. I’d be more likely to become besotted with him.
