Freedom Is a Constant Struggle: Ferguson, Palestine, and the Foundations of a Movement by Angela Y. Davis

4.0

I listened to the audiobook version on hoopla digital. She even reads it. I plan to listen to this again, as well as follow along with the text because the subject matter is heavy. I haven't read any of her other books and I didn't realize it was a compilation of speeches and interviews. But what I liked about that was I got a clear sense of what her political philosophies are due to the overlap of information from chapter to chapter. This is really a great introduction to Angela Davis because she gives a lot of overviews- movements, systems, ideologies, etc. I would highly recommend it.
