Selected Stories of Philip K. Dick
by Philip K. Dick
Read this for Book Club. Some of the stories were very clever: Paycheck, Minority Report, We Can Remember It For You Wholesale, A Little Something for Us Tempunauts . . . Some reminded me too much of other writers, Asimov, Bradbury, . . . one (I Hope I Shall Arrive Soon) amused me and might have influenced Adams a wee bit. Fascinated by the themes that appeared over and over, especially the issue of identity, people not being who one thinks, one's self not being who or what one thinks, one's state (alive or dead) not being what one thinks. Woven throughout the series, much of which was post apocalyptic to boot (very post-bomb), and nicely done. Like all collections, a mix of quality.
