A Farewell to Arms: The Hemingway Library Edition
by Ernest Hemingway, Patrick Hemingway
My first Hemmingway since middle school. I really enjoyed the prose and the overall character development, or lack there of in some ways. The way he made war a thing, as opposed to a glorious thing or a benign thing was really enjoyable. I found a bit of the mid section to drag, but the last 100- 150 pages cruised right along.
The ending really hit me though. I was not expecting the book to end as it did. A bit jarring. Not necessarily a bad thing, just a jarring thing.
