The Ickabog by J.K. Rowling
3.0

Clever writing (play on words, name alliterations, some echoes of Greek mythology - Hydra, Cyclops who capture Odysseus, etc.), would expect no less from Rowling.

For a children’s book, there is a lot of death. I appreciate the strength of the female characters.

I was expecting more and was underwhelmed. Easy read.
