This book has a great commentary on environmentalism and over exploitation, and it’s told through historical speculative fiction. The setting of late 19th century Russia and China is also very interesting. Overall, I loved the concept put forth and the setting, but the plot was a little strangely paced, which is why it’s not 5 stars. I definitely will be looking out for the next project by this author.
