I had decided to finally give a listen to the butcher and the wren after being a long time listener of the Morbid Podcast. I must say, I really liked the story. I felt some parts were extremely repetitive (description of New Orleans etc) and it would take me out of the story because it would feel like I'm reading the same thing constantly.
I quite enjoyed the pacing of the storyline and how the Butcher's / Jeremy/Kal's timeline was different which had threw me for a loop I was not prepared for!
I am still confused on the Taro reading because for this book, there has yet been a moment of betrayal so maybe that'll be in the next books.
