Ok so I will admit the cover and the punny title was what piqued my interest. But the fact that this was a first person narrative and our MC was so relentless when it came to her negative body image discussions got to be too much after a while. I understand the difficulties of not being able to lose weight and comparing yourself to your female friends who don’t have the same body type that you do. But do you need to bring it up that much ?! Plus I don’t understand the appeal of Tristan except that he is a vampire who exists lol. A lot of the Vampire pop culture references I could have done without. If this book was something of a parody or satire, poking fun at vampire lore, I feel like I would have liked this more but alas not the case.
