sayde_scarlett 's review for:
A Game of Thrones
by George R.R. Martin
Martin deserves nothing less than five stars for redefining the genre of fantasy. Martin's strengths lie in compelling storytelling.
Martin is, in many ways, not a particularly good writer and I can never help feeling that the editor of the Ice and Fire series should have been more savage.
But what does that matter now? Not at all. I would rather have a great story which hasn't been edited as much as it should have been than a perfectly edited book with no story.
