Based on the foreward in this book I expected to love it, but it was much darker, while also much vaguer, than I expected. Even though it's quite short there were parts that really dragged, and the supposedly senual content was very off-putting and violent.
I also feel like the whole story was set up to impart a larger message or cultural critique that never came...but I might have missed it somewhere in the violent, sexually charged dog scenes? I have a lot of questions, but don't really want the answers.
