The Water Dragon's Bride, Vol. 1
by Rei Toma
I found that this read more as a children's book than a young adult book. The gods were bland and uninteresting, especially the water god (who is supposed to be one of the main characters). The girl, Asahi, was the only character I liked and felt had personality. The story fell flat and did not have any pull for me. I opened the second book and started to read, got two pages and yawned. I didn't get any further than that. Maybe the series gets better, but right now it does not have my interest. Maybe one day I will go back, but for now I will have to find a different manga to read.
