I was totally intrigued with this book when I came across it at the library. I had no idea that it was originally a vampire book! Thanks to Will Smith, I thought it was another piece of zombie fiction! Perhaps they changed it to zombies because they were tired of the current vampire fad... but either way... I really liked the book! At first I was worried... but as I read on I found myself telling myself "just one more chapter before bed" until suddenly, it was over!

I would suggest this book to anyone who like vampire fiction. It is a classic and comparatively it is rather unique in the idea of how people came to be vampires. I am surprised more people haven't delved into Matheson's idea. Intriguing.
