The relationship between Pepper and Opal only gets interesting / enjoyable about halfway through the book. The plot is basically non existent and there isn't a lot of romance or longing in the first half. The sex scenes are a 3.5-4/5 and the rest of the book is a 2.5/5, that is the reasoning for the rating. It's a solidly okay book that is short enough to warrant a low stakes, low time spent, read.
