Caliban and the Witch: Women, the Body and Primitive Accumulation by Silvia Federici

slow-paced

2.0

Not sure it makes the points the author thinks it makes.

It is a particularly dense book far more than you’d expect for a modern classic but I found it alright to follow even if the thesis arguments felt ill thought out at points and despite discussing witch trials several times didn’t feel like the author actually had anything knowledge on the subject.  She’s looking at the subject from a Marxist lense but it’s still clear that there are gaps.
