Gothic, poetic and completely captivating. I'm struggling to move on from this book as I've been completely spoilt by the beautiful prose. Having had an unhealthily co-dependent friendship in my childhood the story unearthed feelings I had sat on for a long time. The pace really picked up when the second perspective came in and from that point on I was spellbound.
Its difficult to place in a specific genre, but if you were hoping for a fantasy romance you will be disappointed. Its best read going in with an open mind not knowing what to expect. If you are even slightly intrigued don't hesitate, just read it.
