This read like one of those cheap summer thrillers/horror flicks.

I can't say I liked it that much and my feeling overall for it is 'meh'.

The characters were well developed, diverse, and interesting but I felt absolutely no connection to any of them. I mean we have a bunch of tropes the stoic, strong female lead whose mom is a crack trailer trash and she's the one who has to take care of her sister. The black male character who's living with a single mother and a handicapped sister. A bitchy childhood best friend, who seems more interested in her own self gain, than loyalty. A best friend who is of course also a love interest. Also tigers.

A dangerous game thought up by teenagers who manage to outwit the cops who are of course idiots. Where the hell are the parents? Ah of course one is a crack addict, the other is too busy with a handicap sister, the other mysteriously not there, and one pair present but not really. Why are there tigers?

The relationship drama really took away from the tension of the games.

It felt vaguely like there was supposed be slightly paranormal, but it wasn't. It was the tigers.

Overall, really underwhelming.
