I only read this for the first time last year and it was the first Roald Dahl book I ever read. It has made me so excited to read more of his works.
My favourite thing in this story are the square sweets that look round - I think that's so simple but so clever and makes me laugh every time. Mr. Wonka is definitely a crazy old man but he's one you can't help but love. Charlie is such a sweet little boy, it's actually not very convincing because it's hard to believe a little boy could BE so sweet!
I can't read this book without wishing I was Charlie and hoping that one day a crackpot will give me his chocolate factory.
