The Shadow Queen by C.J. Redwine

5.0

First off I must say that I positively loved this! I was a little scared going into this because I had kept hearing such mixed reviews, but once I started reading it I couldn't put it down, I completely and totally adored this book. It probably helped that I have been in a very big fairy tale mood, and this book was exactly what I was looking for. I know people have said the romance is a bit awkward, but I though it was find honestly, I've read worse romances. I though Leo and Kol were both funny characters, though sadly one didn't get to share his humor through it all. I liked the Snow White aspects, it felt like Snow White without actually being the generic Disney version of Snow White (Even though I do love that version). I though the Huntsman aspect was interesting, and I like how dragons were added. My biggest complaint was that until the POV of Kol and Lorelai met and came together it felt like to completely different stories, but was thankfully fixed one that "officially" met.
All in all I loved this book! It was super face paced, the time when I was able to sit down and read I flew through it. I am looking forward to reading the other books in the series, and seeing how C.J Redwine incorporate other fairy tales into this world.
