5 stars I think for anyone who loves suspense novels. This one is particularly good, but while I used to like this genre these days I find it more stressful than I want and also more negative about humanity than I’m interested in. Anyway, for a suspense novel this one is great - the setting (Egyptian), the characters (guests and staff at an aging high end hotel on the Nile), and the plot, which revolves around an 81 year old widow from the Midwest.
