The Temporary Wife by Catharina Maura

4.0

I actually really enjoyed this one! I loved Luca and Valentina, from their banter to their fights to their cute cuddly moments. I loved how they fought for one another and how fiercely they loved each other.

Especially Luca.

He could be the description of boy obsessed. He was always ready to do anything and everything for his wife. But one of my favourite things in this book is its strong female lead. Valentina wasn’t just there to act as Luca’s love interest. She was there to fight for her life, for her name and for herself. I really enjoyed reading her povs.

Now onto the bad parts: I HATED the grandma in this one. She basically caused most of the bad things that happened to Luca and Val. Everyone kept praising her about knowing her matches in the first book but gosh, she ruined everything in this one. I just wanted her gone. Every time she appeared, I wanted to throw the book away.

Same thing but less with Val’s mom.

Overall though, the good outweighs the bad so four stars for Luca and Val.
