The Astronaut and the Star by Jen Comfort

3.0

A spitfire astronaut. A hunky Hollywood action hero. A steamy romantic comedy.

Now that he could touch her freely, he didn’t know where to start, and he wanted it all.

Regina Hayes, “Reggie,” is a NASA astronaut that is hardest on herself but also hard on anyone else who has the misfortune of being teamed up with her. After a PR disaster, she’ll do anything to get back into her boss’s good graces because her greatest aspiration is to be the first woman to walk on the moon. In her haste to make this happen, she agrees to “train” Hollywood action star, Jon Leo, famous for a campy action movie called Space Dude, for a more serious upcoming film. Complete opposites, Reggie and Jon start off at odds and the ensuing romance is both original and provocative.

While I was very intrigued by the premise and really enjoyed certain aspects of this book like the more scientific details and the quirky cosmonaut bff, ultimately it was a lot steamier and graphic than I prefer and was a bit of a miss for me. Still entertaining enough for me to stick it out, but not really my cup of tea.
