This would be a good introduction to Greek Mythology as I found the writing style simpler than some other Greek retellings.
I enjoyed the banter and bickering between the gods as it really showed their pettiness and brought some levity to what is essentially a very sad tale (Greek tragedy so kind of expected). I also thought the superior tone of the narration really added to the story.
All that said; for a Medusa retelling, we could have done with more Medusa and less Persus. While the stories are connected, it seemed split more between the two than Medusa - perhaps marketing different could have resolved this as an issue but as it’s marketed as a Medusa retelling, it’s a little jarring
