I started reading the book because I've been watching the show, and quite frankly, I wanted more Henry Standing Bear. I certainly got that!<
The books are far more witty than the show, a fact I was thankful for - I didn't want to read 354 pages of angst, and I didn't have to.
Overall, the books are great. Not a full five stars because at points I found myself wondering "what did this have to do with the story?" But still well worth a read.
