Did not finish book. Stopped at 45%.

 In principle it's exactly the kind of thing I like--very Sevenwaters vibe to it--but I kept finding myself getting bored. The character arcs are so obvious; the antagonist is so obviously probing the naive young lovesick girl for information about how to invade the keep. The magic is boring. I kept putting my kindle down and when I picked it up again I got disappointed that it was still this book, and still less than 50% done. I'm more interested in everything else on my tbr list, so this is a dnf.
