The Wild Robot by Peter Brown
5.0

Such a fun and unique story, yet a simple premise with vibes that remind me of a Thorton Burgess nature tale. The mother/son storyline is really sweet and I loved the contrast of nature vs man-made.
There's a lot of irony and solid morals throughout which I found to be compelling as an adult reading this "children's book" and as a Christian, finding some strong spiritual themes.
I could go on but I don't want to spoil anything, so definitely check out this if you're looking for a deep but simple story about what it means to care for the environment but also love and care for one another.
I'm hyped for the animated movie releasing later this year now!
