A Sweet Alaskan Fall by Jennifer Snow

3.0

Hmm...what to say about this one. Well...the cover is not remotely what you get in this book. Takes place in Alaska in Fall...and...yeah. But...I was happily surprised that there was some great disability rep in here. Unfortunately...I feel like the author bit off more than she could chew because this book felt all over the place to me. None of the many many ideas in this book are thoroughly explored and given the attention they deserve...so none of it quite worked for me. We've got someone with a new disability, someone who has been struggling with a traumatic brain injury for years, coming back into your child's life after years of being absent due to said injury, a drug plot, parent issues, naked skydiving, addiction...I'm probably missing some things but I think you get the idea. Definitely wasn't the sweet Fall romance that the cover seems to indicate. Not a horrible book...but not great either.
