This book was SUCH a surprise and I'm elated about it. I picked this book up from the library for my regency reading challenge (Bridgerton had me in a mood). Let me say- this book is way denser and heavier on the HISTORICAL fiction than Bridgerton is but I like that kind of thing so it was welcomed.
Already I enjoyed the fact that the FMC is a strong, intelligent queer, pragmatic suffragist who is absolutely neurodivergent coded but it took me by surprise how much I enjoyed the MMC. His perspective as a Middle Eastern character and his advocacy for his people and their rights wa passionate and refreshing. The plot was interesting and I know others didn't love that the resolve happened off page but it didn't hinder the reading experience for me.
