-contemporary fiction
-motherhood
-omnipresent narrative

Read if you:
-enjoy domestic fiction
-are open-minded and willing to see all points to an argument
-appreciate a well researched book that makes you think

What I enjoyed:
-The Herd discusses a controversial issue and is not one sided in the approach. Emily has truly encompassed a difficult topic by showing all sides while also showing the reader that we are all just trying to do what is right for our families
-Edwards also does an excellent job at portraying motherhood in its entirely
-The authors note at the end sheds light on just how much research Edwards completed and just how many firsthand accounts helped create The Herd
