Platonic Rulebook by Saxon James

Griff snd Heath

PLEASE be aware that this review is meant for my own purposes only in order to help me recall this book and is in no way a reflection of what I think anyone else will like or want out of a book. It is simply a memory aid and a rough voice-to-text which is completely unedited/reviewed for errors. Read at your own discretion.

Griff and his wife are getting divorced as soon as their son Felix goes to college. Once he does, Griff is at a loss wanting to hookup (he’s bi but gas only ever been with his wife) but feels old and insecure and has no idea how to proceed. His BFF (who is gay) Heath is there for him. They have never had feelings for each other, but start to notice one another. They end up hooking up and being together but Griff is scared to tell his ex and son. Also, there is a sub plot regarding the resort hotel that Griffin his wife owned. Griffith is the general handyman and Heath runs the place. Eventually, they tell Felix and the whole town finds out because Griff kisses Heath in public. But it all works out.

I like this book because it’s a little unusual to have middle-aged main characters who are struggling with that but overcome it easily.

Connections: we meet Felix, who has his own book in the Franklin University series.
